In 2000, a young girl at the age of 12 was found on the side of the road, right outside Mystic Falls, she was in a coma. Dr. Grayson Gilbert then took this girl in, as a daughter. All this girl remembered that year was her name, although her last name was merged with the Gilbert's.

Now In 2009, 21 years old, she's back. But this time as a vampire, she was once known as Elena Gilbert's adoptive older sister. Now remembering everything, she plans to be known as the middle vampire sister of a certain vampire family.
