It's been two years since the Danzo incident. Two whole years since the members of Team 7 have had any interaction with one another. But when an emergency letter is sent from Suna informing them that Gaara has been kidnapped, they are quick to return to the Sand village to save their Kage. 
          One thing leads to another, and soon, Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke and Kakashi are tasked with stopping an organization bent on achieving world peace. 

          But it's becoming increasingly clear that thing's aren't the same as they were before, so how can Team 7 unite the Shinobi Nation against a growing threat when they all seem to be drifting farther apart from each other?

This is the sequel to Rock Bottom, so if you haven't read that then I recommend that you do, but it's not completely necessary because I'll be posting a recap

They all don't start off on the best foot, and Gaara wonders how they'll make it to Mist without killing each other. Along the way the group runs into Sasuek's old Team Taka, and makes some detours into creepy lairs, all the while trying not to drive each other insane with their crazy hijinks and culture clashes. Not to mention past trauma. But things may heat up when they actually reach Mist Village and find more than they bargained for. [This story is a sort of spin off of the canon story line, and picks up where my shorter retelling of the first show in "New Way of Ninja" leaves off. Read that book first if you want to know how these characters know each other. Otherwise if you just want to jump right in and figure it out, I respect that approach too. This should be a lot of fun. The story is styled to be more Slice of Life/Action, but they'll be ships, funny situations, and angst and drama in plenty for all of you who like a little spiciness with your friendship stories.
