Artemis Bryn Collins is sixteen years old. By law, one month after her sixteenth birthday, she will be matched, mentally, with a boy her age, and he will be the one she must marry. There is no changing your matchee, emotions towards other people isn't accounted for, after all computers sort you, and tell you who you must live with for the rest of your life. Her Grandmother always told her that she would be the girl that would bring back the ability to have your 'true love', but Artemis isn't even sure if 'true love' is real. Can, and will, she bring back 'true love'? Or will she have to learn to love, like many before her have?
