"Goodbye, Oliver." I say, softly. He looks up at me, tears in his eyes. "Why do you leave now?" "Because I'm going to fix myself before I see you again." I promise. "You don't need to be fixed." "I need to be fixed, Oliver. I'm Shadow and Guardian at heart. No room for Elemental. I'll miss playing with water, though." I joke, the humor running dry. Oliver's eyes grow dark. "Just go." He says, closing his eyes. This was his true emotions showed. "What do you want me to say next, Sage?" He asks in a demanding manner. "That I'm okay knowing what those scars mean? That I know at any moment, something can burst into my room, and I'd never know? I was better off not knowing!" He spits out every word with venom, and I sense an ending reaching us. "Hell, I was better without you." "Good." I say shortly, turning my back to him, and picking up my luggage.
