Kiku Honda was born and raised in Japan until his father accepts a job offer in a small Texas town with a population of 2,000; throwing him into a new life and a new local school. He doesn't quite fit in, considering he's the only Asian in the whole school... and that he's gay. He's shy and not very outspoken, which has always made making friends difficult for him. Then he meets Alfred.

Alfred F Jones has been living in the same town his whole life, and he's local "small town popular boy." Football quarterback, good grades, talkative, good looking, charming personality... and a strange lack of girls he's been interested in.
