Akihiko Kaiba had given the world a huge scare after the dreaded Sword Art Online incident, where he trapped everyone who played in the game. Two years have now passed, and everything seems to have  died down, from the Aincrad incident to the once mysterious Death Gun murders, but media had refused to cover an event that began two years BEFORE the Sword Art Online incident. An event that had copied Akihiko Kaiba's work before it had a chance to be released, yet more brutal and more terrifying. Konami Entertainment Corporation had hosted a tournament for one of their older online games, Metal Gear Online, where the rules were similar to what was laid out for Aincrad players, as well as a few rules of their own. The tournament was a battle between fifty platoons of 200 players each and lasted through six years of carnage, even lasting through the events of Aincrad and the Death Gun murders. The last few survivors of the tournament are now free from the game's clutches, but they will NEVER be the same. This story is about one tournament survivor and his return home. anybody he knew outside of the game has no idea WHERE he's been, and now it's time for him to make attempts to let everything from that event fade away. However, their life comes to a sudden change as they learn of something stirring some rumors of a legendary gang called Morphine and people begin to go missing. After the gang, Dry Juice, all go missing, Aoba and Akira learn that they are linked together by special abilities, Aoba's being a power called Scrap, an ability that allows him to enter the minds of others and either help or destroy them, and Akira's having premonitions, which allow her to prevent the outcomes of tragedies or injuries from occurring, as well as being able to protect a person's unconscious mind as Aoba uses Scrap on them. Together, Akira, Aoba, Ren, Aoba's childhood friend, Koujaku, and their new friends, Noiz, Clear, and Mink must go to the Platinum Jail resort and find the one that threatens to brainwash everyone on Midorijima Island and turn them into mindless puppets.
