This is a poem collection of my thoughts as I try to deal with a nasty relationship problem. My best friend of many years and I have essential cut all ties this past year. It resulted in a lot of ugly damage and hateful things done and said on both sides. My other friends are friends with her, and I respect that. So, this is my way of coping and figuring out my feelings on the subject.

Fooling Ourselves
It was simple. He was my brother's ex-bestfriend and now enemy. I was supposed to stay away from him. I was supposed to be loyal to my brother and avoid him. I was supposed to be the good little sister I was and follow my brother's rules. It was simple yet so hard when the guy I was supposed to be avoiding was being possessive and always watching me. Sometimes you have to get lost in order to be found... I'm needy. I'm broken. Cutting breaks through my numbness, but only opens more wounds. Depression, bullying, self-harm...that's my reality. These poems are just some of the little pieces that make up my life. Whenever I get inspired by someone or something, I write a little story about it in the form of a poem. In a way, it helps me express what I have in my mind in a very vague way. I'm not that kind of a direct person, but there are things that are sometimes, better to kept secret.
