Mature
Join Johnny, a happy preteen, and Joseph, a cynical teenager, in an adventure through Christianity. All whilst battling off evil Atheists and the average villains in society.

Warning:
This story could potentially offend fellow Christians or literally anyone, living.. or dead I guess, I won't judge. However, while writing this, we never intentionally meant to harm anyone. Myself and my coworker here at TheseHeauxCorp think that comedy is a great outlet for our endless emotional suffering. Kinda like Bo Burnham. Yeah.

Anyways, point is, if we offend you, we apologise. Other than that, enjoy the story. Hopefully some of the weird jokes and gags can make you all laugh, or at least get a smile out of you.

PS. Praise Jesus.

A Thin Line Between Love & Hate (Love Conquers All series) ORIGINAL VERSION by AMS1971
82 parts Complete Mature
NOTE: This is the ORIGINAL version. The revised version, which includes multiple added scenes and extended storylines, will be published on amazon as two separate books (A Thin Line Between Love & Hate / A Short Distance Between Heaven & Hell). The revised versions may or may not be uploaded onto wattpad, I haven't yet decided if I will be doing that. **The extremist group in this story is based on the Westboro Baptist Church located in Topeka, Kansas. ________________________________ Josh Waylon is a prisoner in his own home, his own mind. Part of an extreme religious group who has targeted homosexuals, Josh is forced to live the hate that the leader--his father--has poisoned them with. But Josh has a secret of his own, one which would bring him extreme pain and punishment within the group and alienate him from everyone he knows. When the group moves to a new town, a community which is predominantly LGBTQ, and Josh starts at the new school, he feels like a sheep amidst wolves as the many gay kids within the school know exactly who he is and what his family does. Josh feels no security with his two older brothers, who expect him to suck it up and accept the persecution as a servant of God. Brandon Nichols immediately detects the difference between Josh and his brothers, seeing deeper within the young man and the truth he is hiding, desperate not to be found out. Brandon believes his calling is to help bridge the gap between the gays and Christians in his school, but he has his work cut out for him with Josh Waylon and the extremist group that has him locked down--emotionally, spiritually...and sexually.

Reserved and private, Jon is rocked with a glitter bomb of queer affection when he collides with former crush, Kurt. Jon's an introvert. Kurt's an extrovert. Jon's never had a boyfriend. Kurt's hooked up a hundred times. Jon's devoutly Christian. Kurt said 'f*ck you' to the whole charade of religion that left him hurting and homeless years ago. Kurt's out, rocking his queer identity loud and proud onstage. Jon is...well, it's complicated. He thought he'd made peace with his sexuality, but his role caring for children in a Christian not-for-profit group home doesn't permit him to have a gay relationship. Jon's so stretched carrying full-time school and full-time work, he needs his housemate and best friend, Cary, to remind him to eat. Where would he even find the room for a six-foot tall, fabulously queer boyfriend? When Kurt shows up on Jon's doorstep, hungover and more fragile than he appeared under the spotlights, something has to give. Tentatively rekindling their romance in the nitty-gritty of their adult lives, Jon and Kurt have everything to lose and everything to gain if they take the risk to hold each other close. ☆Featured on the Wattpad @FreetheLGBT and @NA reading lists!☆ Straight/Gay/Bisexual/Trans/Demisexual/Ace. (Under Major Editing) this story contains descriptive self-mutilation, character death, alcohol abuse, drug/substance abuse, and bits of violence. (ANYONE WHO IS UNDER 16 AND IS CURRENTLY SUICIDAL, DEALING WITH OR EXPERIENCING THOUGHTS OF SELF-HARM PLEASE JUST CHOOSE A DIFFERENT STORY. THIS ISNT A FUN RIDE) Johnny has always been different, the gang knew that. He was always doing something to be proud of but he'll forever be a greaser unless his folks actually started to care for him, and even then, he'll always be an outcast, a delinquent. Johnny doesn't mind that though, he likes it the way it is, but he mainly would just like things to be different at home, but he's content with the gang. He was okay with them. Until his father dies. His old man had always treated him like shit anyway, but there was something inside that was crushed. Dad would sometimes help little Johnny out, it was his mother that had made things worse for him. After his death, Johnny couldn't cope much anymore, he was used to being able to, but now his emotions were out of control. He starts to spiral downwards. The gang is with him the whole time and tries their hardest to keep him at his best, but Johnny becomes irrational, too unpredictable for the gang to even understand but Johnny doesn't go down alone, he brings someone with him.
