It's funny how something can go from so perfect to so wrong in just a blink of an eye. Everything you once held close to your heart is now gone forever. Then once it's gone all you are left with is questions; What could I have done to prevent this? What did I do wrong? Did my significant other love me at all? And no matter how bad you push the questions out of your mind they always seem to come back up, and at the worst times too. When you're finally done with it and you feel as if you can move on the questions pop back up causing you to miss that person. I've been very depressed and heartbroken so, what better than to create a story out of it? "This is my life" details a protagonist going through her teenage years up until the age of 21. Through love, friendship, grief, and heartbreak, you will get to witness what it's like being a young black girl trying to conquer the world. I hope anyone going through either heartbreak, grief, insecurities, mental health declines are able to read this and know that they're not alone! Life can be so ugly at times, but I promise things always get better. Not your typical romance or teen fiction book!
