Wendy Parker is a normal girl with a potentially life-threatening condition. She often suddenly falls into a coma for no obvious reason for exactly 6 minutes. She cannot be woken. When she is in the coma she is transported in her mind to the Enchanted Lands. Life there is perfect. But all is not as it seems. Darkness is invading the Enchanted Lands and it's people are suffering. The only way the Enchanted Lands can be saved is to find Frost - the ice sorceress. Wendy and Ember set out across the Frozen Wastes to find Frost. In those barren lands Wendy will find out a secret that could save her, or destroy her.
