" We are not best friends, Liliana. I don't love you. I don't love anyone. Why don't you see that I'm not worth trying to save." Hayden yells at me, and immediately my eyes start to tear up, but I blink them away quickly because I refuse to cry over him.
" So your telling me these four years meant nothing to you. Your telling me you put up this act for four years just so you could pass school, to get in my pants, and stay on the football team. " I yell back at him, and I can see a hurt look in his eyes. Did he actually mean it, that I mean nothing to him.
" You knew from the beginning I could never love you. You were the one that wanted to fix me, but why don't you see that I don't wanna be fixed!" He yells and in the moment my heart broke.
" You think that I want to be here trying to fix you constantly, well news flash I don't. Did it ever occur to you that I'm so in love with you that I can't leave." I state and run off before I started to cry in front of him. I didn't mean to tell him that it just sorta came out, and I knew now that it was out there our friendship was over.

We've all heard of the stories where the best friends fall in love for each other and live happily ever after, well that's definitely not how it happened in my case. My best friend, Hayden, has had a hard life from his parents being divorced, and them taking turns being in and out of jail. He doesn't believe in love, and he definitely doesn't believe he's worth loving. He has one Goal in the life and that's to get to the Nfl, and other than that he doesn't care about anything or anyone. Well what happens when I fall in love for the boy that can't love?
