In a world, it's divided into four groups, this four groups ruled by religion and believes. The first group is the white people, the Africans, the Asians and the Hispanic.
During World War II, the White people travel the world to colonize it, scrambling and petition other people lands.
Book 1 (selection n short war) deals with the British colonizing East Africa and the introduction to the meaning of selection.

The Root Of Magic
Two nations locked in a three century long struggle for dominance in which neither side showed any sign of giving in. That was until one nation conceived of a weapon that would have dire consequences for the world. The supersoldiers known only as "Mages." The war is won and the people can now at last live in peace. Or at least that is how it should have been... Mages have been condemned as they have been deemed too powerful by "the Council." Inquisitors have been sent out to find any who remain and their orders are clear. Subjugation or destruction. Countless lives have been taken. Families torn apart. Freedom sounds like a distant dream. Yet one person may yet have the power to save the world. Or destroy it.
