The atmosphere around us began growing heavier with the darkness of his anger, the pungent odor of death wafting into my nose. I clutched the knife tighter until my knuckles began turning deathly white. His black eyes were filled with rage as he took a step forward, extending his hideous and holy black wings towards opposite walls. This just made him more intimidating, not to mention his sharp canines jutting out from his now pale lips. 

An inhuman snarl left him and in a flash, he had my wrists in his rough hands and knocked the knife across the room. He walked us back until I was pressed harshly against the wall and leaned down to my ear, growling lowly.
