Uncertain Future

That was the most bizarre and lousy thing about amnesia, a simple, if hard, smack on the head and you have your life ripped out of your hands.

No identity, no friends, no experiences, no past, and now, a high probability of no future.

"Dead! Dead! We're all DEAD! We're all gonna die!" Shouted K.

"K!" I snapped rudely, frustrated at how she interrupted my thoughts. "Would you shut it before I MAKE you DEAD?!"

"Make ME dead? That'd be just like YOU, Jeremy!" She shouted.

"Oh yeah? What's that supposed to mean?!" I shouted back. "Whatever! At least I'm not screaming bloody murder about THIS!" I said, gesturing to our surroundings.

"Oh, well EXCUUUSE ME!" K glared at me with terrified hazel eyes that still seemed threatening to me. "Those MONSTERS took everything away from me! And despite the fact I'm hella homesick, I'm too much of a coward to die and see my family, otherwise trust me! We wouldn't have EVER met!"

I opened my mouth to retort but Kai and Raya, both at the top of their lungs shouted, "KNOCK IT OFF!"

That seemed to snap us out of our argument as we both took deep breaths to calm down.

Raya stepped in and grabbed my arm, speaking in a honeyed voice I had begun to hate. "Come on, we need to get out of here and 'cause you're getting all hot for Kahlia, we're wasting time."

"Why are we in such a rush?" I asked, still irritable, the Kahlia comment not improving my mood.

"THEY are coming," she deadpanned.

Jermey just woke up with no memories in a world where fairytales are alive and real. Joe he has I figure out his past and who the hell this one chick is, and discover a bunch of secrets that were left undiscovered for some very good reasons. Jeez, this is gonna be a rough ride.

"Who the *beep* are you?!"

"I THINK I'm the little mermaid, but I'm pretty tall, and obviously, I'm a siren."
