Don't hold your Breath

I don't wear a dress to a ball, i swim in a tail, i don't need people to tell me who I am, because there is nothing I'm more sure about, my life isn't on land, my home is in the waves, I am a mermaid.

Now, I know I'm human, I know I have legs but when I was born i had a problem or at least that's what the doctors said. I was born with the ability to breath underwater, but it wasn't until my 12 birthday when I got my first mermaid tail. It just made sense that the girl who could breath underwater would become a professional mermaid.

Veronica was a professional mermaid by the name of Liana, she was raised in the warm waters of Hawaii, But her life took a strange turn when her dad decided to move to a land locked state. Veronica was heart broken. That was until she found out about her new schools amazing swim team and with every swim team there must be an olympic sized pool. What will happen when Veronica tries to prove to the swim teams captain that her world is better than all his stupid medals combined? What will happen when Veronica discovers that her heart can love something other than her ocean?
