Daxton Knox and Amber Swann were best friends for life. When they were young they both made a promise that they would be best friends forever. Little did they know, promise rings were for lovers, not for best friends. Growing up, they grew closer together. Amber, probably too close. When she turned 18, she admitted her feelings for him, but Dax didn't agree with her, so they fought their first fight. The next day, Daxton got diagnosed with Leukemia. When Amber found out, she got really depressed and worried, and joined the military, to help pay the hospital bills, and also to get away from home for awhile.
 
When Dax found out Amber was gone, he regretted his decisions about her. His hospital bills were being paid, but he didn't know who was paying them. When he heard Amber was coming back,  little did he know that she had forgotten all her feelings she had for him and has a new lover.
