Jasmine Clemons seems like your ordinary teenage girl. She does alright in school, she has simple hobbies like the occasional writing of poetry and playing guitar, and she gets along extremely well with her adoptive sister, Kira, and their friends. Despite a rocky childhood, she's satisfied and happy with her life, until it's all flipped upside down.

Without warning, Jasmine and Kira's parents Ken and Noshiko decide to up and move the entire family across country to a tiny town in California. From roaming the sidewalks of Brooklyn to cruising around the streets of Albany, the tiny, little known town of Beacon Hills is an adjustment to all of them.

Until Kira meets Scott, and as always, Jasmine is entered into the unknown, and leaves with no regrets.
