Vega Rae Moore was only eight-years-old when she the bright light outside of her bedroom window. She was only eight-years-old when she snuck out of her house to investigate that same light. She was only eight-years-old and she - Never. Came. Back.

Vega Rae Moore is now seventeen and she's still unsure as to where she is or what exactly happened that night. All she knows is that it's not home, and it hasn't been home for the past nine years. Ever since she followed that light, she's spent her days locked up in a purely, white room that's always locked. She's had no contact with the outside world ... until today when the door opens and a boy tells her to start running.
