This is a short story I had written for a weekly contest. The contest theme was Acceptance. Readers voted for the story that best exemplified the theme. I didn't win this one, but I think I should have. I could say more, but I will leave it at that. You be the judge.
I tried to make the story lighthearted, and I mixed fantasy and real science. In addition, I threw in a couple of religious allusions. If biblical scholars are paying attention, they might take a swipe at my story, but only if they are paying attention.

Good thing she has a fairy godmother. Or is it? When a forbidden paranormal romance brings secret magic and an unspoken curse to light, the weight of the world lands on Lily's shoulders. This started as a thought experiment sparked by an incident that occurred in 1988 in a Denny's restaurant in Tulsa Oklahoma, when a total stranger stopped me as I was pushing my quadriplegic son in his wheelchair. She told me that his afflictions were caused by satan and that it was only y lack of faith in jesus christ as my personal savior that was keeping him from being healed. So I imagined what kind of world this would look like, and this book was born. I wrote it from 1995/99. It was rejected by several publishers as being too far-fetched. You be the judge.Complete

Grace and the Greek Warrior
This is the result of a challenge I set myself on my blog. I decided to write a weekly serial based entirely on writing prompts taken from the Tumblr blogs I follow. I did no planning from week to week, and researched as I needed to. Due to the nature of this project, the only editing I did was line edits--so plotholes may exist.
