You don't need to tell Kyra Michaels that she's not normal. Really. It's been pretty obvious to her since...oh, her BIRTH. 

She may not claim to be an "other," but with her second sight into the Fae world, she was well aware that she wasn't your typical human either. Her only choice was to prove herself to the harpies, or else be gutted and left to rot on the streets.
