When a quiet, shadowed girl from a small town in Minnesota moves to New York because of her dad's new job, she never expected to meet a boy with so many secrets in the same apartment building.

Asteria Waters is a peaceful-minded only child who is used to to keeping to herself and staying on the down low because her parents are always too busy to interact with her. When her father's acceptance of a new job causes her and her parents to move a few thousand miles from what she knew as home to a small apartment building on the edge the city of fame, she's caught off guard by how many people live in the same apartment building as her- there were, of course, only 6 other numbers. She expected her neighbor to be some trashy guy with tattoos and arms of girls, but when se finally meets him and finds out he's a boy as quiet as her with many more secrets, she's reason to be more curious.
