He has learn to not only hate his life, but to want finish it off as fast as possible. Close to finally graduating high school his English teacher, Mr Steve, assigns the class a special progect. "To be able to see life through different eyes, and write about it." For this, Mr Steve gets his class to assist a hospital 3 times a week, and assigns each student, with a patient. This is the moment where this boy meets Royal, a cancer sick 17 year old girl, that has lived in a hospital her hole life, but still finds beauty and meaning in it. Through out the report the boy gets more and more involved in Royal's life, spending unfortunately moments together. But through out the journey he asks himself more and more. Straight A* student, the class representative, model student and the best of the gym team. But she's got one weakness. And his name is Beck Jackson. Sweetest guy in school, most popular guy in school, head of the run and swim team, nice to everybody, A* student: they've been friends fro such a long time, but when it gets out that Hope is in love with Beck, he becomes so stubborn and oblivious. Hope can't contain herself then, and does so many reckless things; she might end up getting hurt- and on the wrong side of some people. Maybe even find out things she had forgotten - and wish she had never remembered. As more and more people enter her life, more and more situations she delves into.
