After Voltron defeated Zarkon the universe is saved but that also means Voltron isn't needed any more. Though the five Paladin's get to keep their lions in case Voltron is ever called upon again. Pidge goes on a mission to find their family, Princess Allura and Coran seek a new permanent base for Voltron and a new home for them away from altea, Shiro travels the Galaxy to help those who need him and find more lost prisoners of war. Hunk and Lance decided to return home to earth to their families. Keeth on the other hand didn't have a family to return to so had no real reason to return to earth but his friends Lance and Hunk insisted he at least visited for a bit. So off they all went. For millennia, the Galra Empire has plagued the universe by destroying civilizations and enslaving various races. The only threat to the empire is the legendary "Defender of the Universe" Voltron, a 328-foot tall robot warrior composed of five lion robots, based on their own elements, whose pilots are known as Paladins. At the crux of the war that ended with the destruction of planet Altea, King Alfor separated Voltron to protect him from falling into the evil Galra King Zarkon's possession. Princess Allura, Alfor's royal adviser Coran, and the Altean Castle of Lions were hidden on planet Arus along with the Black Lion. In the present, the Galra Empire's path of conquest and search for Voltron has led them to Earth's solar system. A group of space pilots-Shiro, Keith, Lana, Pidge, and Hunk-discover the Blue Lion and immediately get swept up into the Galran War. They meet Princess Allura, become the new Paladins, and reunite the five Lions to form Voltron, beginning their fight to liberate the universe from the Galra Empire. Book Cover belongs to me.
