gears of War 2 (game 3)

Kida Delacroix. Once a famed war heroine, now lives as a mechanic with Alex Santiago. since the events leading up to Jacinto being flooded they live hand to mouth with the other gears and some Stranded. The only solstice she can take from her weary existence is the knowledge that the Locust threat is finally over.... Until a new, more blood thirsty enemy rears is glowing, ugly head.

Kida sat in front of Sam, the whirr of the tattoo needle the only thing that was audible. sometimes the occasional sniffle or rustle of cloth. Kida closed her eyes to the slight pains and ignored them, remembering the time she had spent with the South Islander. "and we are done" Sam filled in the last line of the tattoo and moved away. Kida stood up and looked at it. once it had been a small tribal style tattoo behind her ear, now it cascaded down her neck and stopped at her collar bone, much like the other scar she had picked up on the other side of her face. Kida smiled and thanked Sam "no worries girl. keep your chin up" Kida paid and left her make shift tattoo shop.
