     Lorelai is a siren, a legendary feared mystical sea creature, and at the same time, as if that wasn't enough, a shark. The enemies of the sea. She was adopted by Queen Cordelia, the ruler of the sea.
     She has nobody but her adoptive mother, and later Doe.
