Zara is a freak, according to today's standards. She was born with two different colored eyes, but that wasn't the only thing. She was skinny, very skinny, yet, very healthy. It wasn't normal. Another thing, she was very tall too. She had unusual reflexes, much like a cats.

Jimmy Darling is also a freak, according to todays standards. He was born with hands, ones that made him apparently look like a lobster. He was a perfect man. Handsome, polite, but there was that one thing that made everyone turn away.

And Elsa Mars found them, and took them in. Loved them, and made a full family of people like them.
