Hiccup Haddock, after suffering a traumatic incident 3 year ago, is about to experience a bigger one - being entered into the Hunger Games for District 7, along with fellow female tribute, Astrid Hofferson. 24 tributes, all aged between 12 and 18 go in, only one come out. Can Hiccup find a way to ensure his survival, even for one day, or potentially his victory? This is a rewrite of one of my first fanfiction, The Hunger Games: Hiccup's story. The characters come from these animation movies/tv shows: HTTYD, Avatar series, The Dragon Prince, Rise of the Guradians, Astro Boy (2009), Tangled, Frozen, Epic (2013) and Brave (2012). All of which I don't own.

You were just with your other friends and some other dragons playing Air Kick Ball while in the air. you and your friend Khailem the grungel were winning and about to make another goal. then that's when it happened, 3 Viking ships landed on our island and started shooting arrows at us. you quickly flew over to your parents and Khailem and other dragons started to fire back at them, protecting us. My mother quickly took me and my sister away as my father fought. we were almost to the hidden hideout. then a knet came out of no were and we got caught. we fell to the ground as Vikings surrendered us. i was frightened about what was going to happen to us. Our mother tried to protect us, but they shot a arrow at her head and died. they did the same thing to my sister. i cried in tears which caught their attention. they whispered to each other and then one walked up to me and said. "Today is your lucky day freak, you will be on sell." i tried to back away from him as much as i could, but there was no use. they dragged me from the knets to their ship as i was to scared to fight them.

So when the village allows him to take the day off, he happily agrees. He takes to the skies with his night fury, Toothless, meanwhile ignoring Astrid's warnings about the distant storm clouds, a mistake he will later regret. A horrible series of events sends Hiccup and Toothless to a foreign land with no way to get home. The pair find themselves completely lost.
