After the bloody death of her parents when she was eleven, Kara Dosnia has lived in more than four different Villages. All of which have been decimated by cannibalistic vampires. It seemed to Kara that the vampires were following her for some reason, but why?
On a cold fall night a hoard of rogue vampires attack the current village she is living in, and Kara has had enough. She takes on a battle that will forever change her life in the most unexpected way.
By chance or destiny she meets a werewolf named Marko Leipoden, who just happens to be the king-to-be of his kingdom. The two are drawn to each other by a force that even Kara can't ignore, and as much as it scares her she finds herself getting lost in his affections. Or perhaps she is finding herself.
Marko offers her the opportunity to find out more about her her family, and the chance to trust again not only in him, but in herself. He soon realizes how important Kara is, that she is also very powerful and as her magic keeps growing so do the hoards of rouge vampires that fallow her. He would sacrifice it all to keep her and the future of his kind safe, but can she allow that? Live to save a race by letting thousands of worriers die in a war or die fighting a war that has been following her since birth?
