Everything was on fire. I stood in the middle of our town in my sports bra and sweatpants. If I wasn't as panicked I would feel the cold whip of the wind against my bare skin. All I could hear was crying and the whinnies of the horses. I ran to my house, the doorway was caved in and on fire. I heard the crying of Joseph and Becca. I heard Jack comforting them and trying to keep them out of the fire. I ran around the house to find an open window, as I got to the side of the house the entire second level of the house fell directly on top of the bottom one. "No!" I screamed. Later that night, after the usual abuse, I silently packed my things when she was passed out.
