Rational, and irrational. An example would be spiders, they are an irrational fear. To some they're nothing but a pest, but to others they're their worst nightmare. Another example would be if you had a bad past, I guess it depends on how you look at it. But what if you had a secret, that could destroy the human race as we know it? Make the world seem that much more dangerous. More exciting. Add a new factor to everyday life.
