Mairu has had a tough life. Scarred when she was young, she puts on a happy face and surrounds herself with friends and family. She has built herself a reputation, being known as 'lion girl'. But behind closed doors, she can't get rid of his screams and cries.
Sayuri is quiet. She and her sister are the last survivors of the Ayiakiri clan after the brutal slaughter, but no one can relate to her at all. No one can believe the story she tells herself every night before she sleeps.
Ryu is confused. Her whole life, she has been told she was a monster, and she was passed around foster homes, unwanted, before being found by her aunt. Now all Ryu wants to do is find her parents that she knows so little about and find where she belongs.
Ryoji is lonely. He is everything his clan should want him to be --- talented, smart, and strong. Yet for some reason, he is disrespected even by his own family, being set as an outcast by everyone but his caring sister. It couldn't possibly be because of the kidnapping... right?
