Taylor is struggling with the loss of her father, a very special man who met his demise due to cancer. Because Taylor's father was in the foster care system, and her mother left when she was a baby, Taylor is forced into a stranger's home to live out the rest of her days until graduation. Susanna, a good friend of her fathers has three children, an annoying little girl, an equally annoying not-so-little boy, and a brooding older son. Trying to keep her distance, and failing, Taylor mingles with these people she is forced to live with, and experiences their souls in full. Will she learn to love, or continue to be indifferent?
