It's the year 3856 and Niall Horan is living his life in one of the only two remaining cities of New America. New Britain has been at war with New America for years—and they were winning.
One day when Niall is in the field a few miles from his house, he meets a British boy named Liam. Niall likes Liam—a lot—but his dad is a colonel in the army. Liam assures him that he's trustworthy, but Niall can't be so sure...
When Niall's sister is afflicted with a discreet illness, his mom has to take her to the hospital, but the city goes under attack.
Liam is torn between loyalty to his country and his love for Niall. Will he betray his country's weakness for Niall or give up Niall because of his patriotism?
