Terror strikes the streets of the Cherry Lane neighborhood in San Diego, California, when a patient for a psycho ward escapes his hospital room. Residents are warned to stay inside and keep a lookout for the mentally disturbed man. But when Jenny, a teenage girl, ignores the warnings to attend a friend's birthday party, disaster strikes. An entertainer dressed as Elmo has been hired for Jenny's friend's little brother to keep him happy for the party, but when Elmo starts to act strange around her, Jenny has to keep one thing straight: don't trust Elmo.
