Ara Caul is living a double life. On one hand she's a failure orphan living under the care of the extremely wealthy Hunter and his family, on the other she's literally a monster. Able to turn into a winged wolf creature with extreme strength and power. Ara uses her secret identity to find dead bodies in the nearby city. No one knows what she is, what she can become, and she plans to keep it that way. Even with Hunter constantly on her case and sometimes trying to sneak into her heart.

But he lost his chance long ago, at least that's what she tells herself. Cause Hunter has turned kind of into a monster too, but metaphorically so. Hiding his own secrets.

Yet one night, Ara finds out through a close brush with death that she's not alone in her winged wolf creature life. There are more, maybe some closer to her than she could ever imagine. Oh and those feelings? Let's just say they aren't exactly planning on staying in hiding either.

"What I'm about to tell you, you can't tell anyone else. My life depends on it. One slip, and I'll cease to exist. One wrong move and everything could go immensely wrong. The only person she dares to trust, Axel, is the only other one like her kind. Having to live a lie is catching up with her. The walls she's built to protect herself are crumbling down, brick by brick. She's injured, wounded so that she has to rely on someone else. Someone else who might turn out to her unknowing savior -- or ruin. But when Axel suddenly disappears, it'll take all her wits to find him. She'll have to battle her new-found feelings every step of the way. It might even take revealing her darkest secret to her rescuer. June teams up with an unlikely band, tracking down Axel's path and fighting his captors for his rescue. Will she succeed? It's anyone's guess. * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * My vision was growing ever more blurry with each second that passed. Breathing seemed like a luxury now and my legs wanted to give out and let me collapse. Almost there. We were so close. So close. I fell, completely spent. Axel glanced over his shoulder and screeched to a halt, sprinting back over. I could see the worry in his eyes. I could faintly hear him calling my name. My body was throbbing as I gazed with glazed eyes at the street tiles. The last thing I saw before my vision turned dark was dirty blonde hair and a pair of sky blue eyes. * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * Updates every Saturday

Isabel's Choice

58 parts Complete Mature

Lunas are revered. Lunas are loved. Lunas are protected. Chosen by Alpha of the Southern River Border, Isabel is none of these. Isabel cleans herself thoroughly, meticulously, trying to get rid of the soot that covers her soul. Lars is a hybrid, a wolf shapeshifter with Waverider powers. He is quite skilled with water spells, but his core freezes when he discovers that his true mate has already been claimed by another. Lars is willing to fight for what is his to revere, love and protect. Until the ghosts appear. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "But I still have to do one thing today. Strip," he orders, and I stare at him in shock, watching him swiftly remove his jacket and t-shirt. "What? No!" I cross my arms tighter on my chest, but then instantly regret my audacity. If he's anything like his predecessor, my protest will just spur him on. "Suit yourself," he shrugs and his pants fly over the other clothes piled at his feet. Standing tall in front of me, he speaks in the low voice that effortlessly controls the minds of his wolves: "I have no intention of touching you, Isabel. But my beast fought for his mate and he will run with her tonight. Shift." ----------- This story contains mature content and triggering themes.
