The Vibrant City

There was once, in the country of Alifbay, a sad town; a very sad town; a town so ruinously sad that it had long forgotten its name. The inhabitants lived sad lives, without happiness or even colour. When a mysterious child appears, sporting colours against the grey of the town, no one is quite sure what to do or what to make of her.
