This novel was inspired by many real-life incidents that have befallen on British people from multicultural backgrounds. It depicts some of the challenges they face from time to time. One such true incident that has taken place is the 'DISASTER in the CAPITAL' as nothing like this had happened since the World War II.

Had she known what she was getting herself into, she would never have left home. Had she known the hell she'll pass through, she would have happily married Mallam sanusi. Had she known the hardship she'll have to endure, she would have danced her way to Mallam sanusi's home. Had she known the dangers she'll encounter, his rotten kolanut designed mouth, would have been the least of her worries! But she's left home already, she has to survive. It's her only option.
