This novel was inspired by many real-life incidents that have befallen on British people from multicultural backgrounds. It depicts some of the challenges they face from time to time. One such true incident that has taken place is the 'DISASTER in the CAPITAL' as nothing like this had happened since the World War II.

Also the story grips on different denominations of Christianity such as Protestantism and Catholicism. The story grips with pressing issues such as having sex or "beat" at under sixteen and doing drugs such as marijuana or "weed". Also, the story goes into some detail about gangs and how they act.
