It was dark and raining in New York, there was a big lightning storm coming. There was little rain at first but then it started to come down harder and harder. There are all these myths going around, whenever it rains the vampires and all the creatures of the night come out. Every time after the storm 3 or more people go missing. People claim they see shadows in their windows. Some people swear they saw sharp teeth and lots of hair on others and some look like wolves. One time one person that was missing came back and they never came out in the morning always at night, the youth boy looked so pale and so frightened, the city people were scared to ask if he was okay. They didn't bother giving him food or help. When the boy went missing his parents grew depressed and couldn't handle staying in the house they were living in. They soon moved after a week the boy went missing. When the boy went outside for the first time since December 11. When the boy was "Gone" or "taken" it was about a year or two. When the boy came outside he was still pale but he didn't look scared like he did before, He looked like he was dangerous. Looked like a type of person you didn't want to mess with. The crazy thing was that he was only 10 years old.

11:59 pm "5" "4" "3" They chanted counting down to the moment Ares will meet his mate. "2" "1" Sparks erupted in my heart making me gasp and fall onto my knees in shock of the unfamiliar feeling. Everyone in the ballroom turn to me before gasping in shock. A loud Beastly roar is heard through the air making everyone go silent. "Oh Shit!" Steven exclaimed next to me, his brown eyes going huge at the sight in front of me I look up to see Ares, he jumps off the stage and runs at me, the crowd splits in half leaving me in the middle where he can get to me easier "Gee thanks guys" I glare at everyone He quickly but gently picks me up into his strong arms slamming his soft pink lips onto mine. Fireworks.Sparks.Tingles. It's as if all of the evil memories or thoughts of him were washed away as I kissed him more. Like as if I was brainwashed, in a trance that I couldn't break out of. It was addicting like a drug, I had to have more. Then I remember who he was. What he has done to innocent people. My mate is a monster. I pull away in shock not believing what I just have done. "Grab that plate and throw it on the floor." I told him, handing him a plate. "Why am I---" "Just do it!" I yelled, trying to hold back the tears. He looked at me and took the plate from my hand, making careful moves so he didn't touch the tips of my fingers. "Throw it on the ground." I told him. I watched as he threw it down on the ground, pieces of one of my moms plates going everywhere. "Okay. Now what?" He asked me, a hint of impatience in his voice. I walked up to him so we were old inches apart, our noses almost touching. It would be so easy to just kiss him right now.... "Now say your sorry." I whispered to him, letting a tear slip. I felt his gentle hands wrap around me and pull me in closer. Our foreheads touched as he whispered the faithful words, "I'm sorry." I pulled away from him, making sure I didn't cut myself on the sharp shards of glass. "Did it go back to the way it was before?" I asked him, angry tears rolling freely down my face now. How could he do this to me? I am--was--his mate. He looked at me with a sad expression and then looked down. Strangled, he whispered, "No." "Do you understand now how my heart broke when I found out? Do you get it now?" "Jace, I'm--" "Don't even!" I yelled. I couldn't take this anymore. "Leave!" I screamed, letting my tears fall to the floor. He looked at me with a painful look. Her mind began getting hazy. Chloroform, her mind whispered almost silently. Her vision began tunneling, and she weakly looked up into a pair of icy blue eyes. She stared into those eyes as she was pulled deeply and forcefully into oblivion. Isabelle is a smart girl and not really the girly type unless going out. You would usually see her wearing sweats around the house or outside in her backyard on the beach since she lives on the ocean. So when she suddenly gets kidnapped one day, she wonders what she had ever done to deserve this. She hadn't done anything wrong, at least she didn't think she did. But she learns that there is something about her that is special and that she is not only human. Meet Jared Gray, the person that kidnapped Isabelle because of her being his mate. He's been waiting since he was 16 to find his mate and now he's 22, about to give up on ever finding his mate. But when he smells her in a mall one day, he follows her home and decides to take what's his. Isabelle's life will never be the same again.
