I was taken aback by his words, "Give up? Do you think that I'm going to waste my time wallowing myself in misery, because my sorry excuse of a husband doesn't want me? That he only wants me for his own benefit?"
"At least notice me! At least say hello, how are you! At least say good morning or good evening! At least eat the f**king food that I make for you!" The more I spoke, the more my voice became higher.
All he did was just stare at me with a blank look while I kept on talking," You know what, I'm calling my parents, and I'm telling them that I'm done with this", I a hoarse whisper came out of me as I walked past him to get my phone.
"You wouldn't do that", he growled.
The laugh that left my lips were so loud yet so fake that I thought it was from someone else other than me," I wouldn't do that, huh? It's not ok for me to do that, but it's perfectly fine for you to act like I don't exist. Right Adam?"
"What would your mother think?" His words brought me to a halt.
I completely forgot about mom. What would she think? For sure she wouldn't be happy about this. I don't want her to worry and stress over my problems while she's already got her own demons to fight.
"I thought so." He smirked triumphantly.
I couldn't let it go like this. I won't let him win just like that, so I turned around with a new plan in mind.
"How about a deal?" I smirked with a raised eyebrow, and arms crossed.
"Go on"
"I won't tell anyone about this, but you have to treat me the way a husband treats his wife".
"Is that it?"
"And the moment you take over your father's company, and the time for whatever I have in mind ends, your secret will be out, and I'll file for divorce. Is that a deal?"
He looked thoughtful, before looking back at me seriously,"Its a deal"
