Mother's head, father's hand(still big and strong even in death),his brother's eyes and pieces of his sister's skull(the hair attached to it still had her favourite butterfly hair pin on it). When he'd put them together as best he could, he went into the nearby forest, purposefully stepping on the bodies of the fallen soldiers around their compound. Some of the wounds he'd inflicted upon finding them in his home were still bleeding sluggishly, but it was dark and nothing at all like the brilliant bright red surrounding his family.

Uprooted

Everything was going fine. We were driving to the lake, like we had in the past. Then we were fighting. And then darkness. The detective said that it was an accident, that there was nothing suspicious about their deaths. But how about that large, deep cut? The clean-cut tree? Was there actually foul play involved? Can I solve my family's death? In a blink of an eye, my whole life was uprooted.
