"Extenonine: a chemical found in a body eighteen years of age or older. Following that age, the human body cannot provide a proficient amount of blood to the brain. Extenonine creates a passageway from the heart to the brain, allowing the brain to obtain the amount of blood it requires."

Ray Dylans, a regular seventeen-year-old teenager, has never really thought of birthdays as something to be feared. In fact, he looked forward to turning eighteen, so he could finally be done with boring old high school. But Ray's opinion of birthdays changed forever when something horrible happened. Something so wrong that everyone eighteen years and older died in an instant. The age of eighteen used to be an age of anticipation, but now it's like an age of death. Or an Age of Decimation.
