Five years after the outbreak and Ash learning about his aura abilities, Ash is living contently in the Cove. He has almost completely mastered his aura, and his infection is getting better by the day.

However, Ash has begun sneaking out of the cove in hopes of seeing his old friends again. Serena is getting curious at the new caped crusader that keeps appearing and disappearing throughout camp.

Meanwhile, people have abandoned their ways of peaceful fighting. They have begun dogfighting Pokemon with infected, killing and hurting thousands. And when Pikachu gets dragged into it, Ash must decide to do what is right.

But will it be the right choice?
