Alan
The following story is the result of a game I played with a fellow writer, a fan of Fantasy and Manga. Basically, I offered to email him the beginning of a story. He would write the next part and send it back to me. I would write the next part, send it, and so on. But he didn't have enough time to take part in this little game. I then suggested that we write a story in the form of a serial and send the parts to each other by e-mail, once a week, for two months. My plan was to turn it into a summer mini-series. Caught up in the story, this attempt lasted through autumn, and winter, and was finished in spring. So, my first thanks go to you, Jeremy. I'd also like to thank the most diligent critic of my writing: Renault. Your corrections and comments were very relevant and were a great help. I hope that I will, at long last, be able to buy you a drink and discuss it with you face to face. As we haven't seen each other for more than five years, we probably won't even recognise one another anymore. Through my writing I have had the privilege of meeting a lot of different people, from all walks of life, but mostly waiters and waitresses in the (far too) numerous Brussels cafés, Exki, Pain Quotidien, and others, where I write, as well as the hotel staff in the Novotel, where I was living. I thank all of you for your kindness and the interest you showed in my stories. Writing is a solitary process, but has its rewards. I wish you all, through your reading, a life full of dreams and adventure.Complete
Wings For The Jailbird
#1 jail #1 fight #1 criminal *** "Don't take it personal, I just like to play it safe, you know." He said, crouching down in front of me to tie each of my ankles to the chair. I couldn't move at all, especially after he duct taped even my waist to the chair. I watched him examine his work whilst he rubbed his beard and then a slow grin creeped onto his face. He bent down and put one end of the duct tape on my damn nipple, went around the chair again and ripped it off. He put the other end on my other nipple and I felt my cheeks heat up in humiliation. "Just to make sure you don't get cold again." He looked at me, his smirk slowly fading again. I gave him a hard stare. His hand reached out and fixed the glasses on my nose. Then he turned the chair so, that I was looking at the couch. He sat down, arms spread out on the back rest of the old leather couch, his eyes fixed on me again. "And now we're gonna talk." *** Belle Valery was a hardworking and rather unpopular law school student. She was almost done with school, had a structured daily schedule that consisted of waking up, going to school, going to the local library and study until she got a headache. She would walk home at night and go to sleep immediately. For almost three years that was all Belle knew and she was hoping to get her degree without further complications. But hope often differs from reality. Especially when her neighbourhood was suddenly on lockdown, because an escapee was on the loose. Belle didn't expect to one day wake up and find said escapee peacefully sleeping in her room. She didn't expect to scream and wake him up. And she didn't expect that morning to be the beginning of their incredible, yet a little complex love story. But life is always better unplanned and unexpected. "The ex jailbird and the lawyer, what a fucking pair."Complete
The Revelation
In the beginning, there was death. The darkness flows from hues of purple and orange, the moon rising to kiss the sun's rays one last time as the darkest cloud of night I've ever seen falls over our tiny haven. I catch Will's face from the side of my vision and my heart tightens slightly. The tick of his jaw wouldn't be noticeable for anyone but me. His best friend, his lifeline. A solemn tear forms in my eye as he wipes his face, another tear falling for the family he lost. I love him. Utterly and desperately so, but, there's nothing I can do about that. The ultimate forbidden fruit, if you will. I reach to comfort him and he doesn't respond. I open my mouth to speak and he looks my way, but the gleam in his dark brown eyes hits the moonlight just right and I fall. My voice escapes my throat and I can't do it. I've tried for years to tell him. 10 years, actually. All this time, I hopelessly remained devoted to a ghost who had given the best of himself to a fiery red-head with a sassy personality and the body of a supermodel. For 10 years, I held to the desperate thought that maybe, just maybe, he'd be someone I could count on. Instead, I watched him marry my best friend, smiled as they welcomed their son. Stood, holding that beautiful boy as his mother was in the first round of executions after the beginning of the Revelation. Helped heal Will's wounds in the aftermath. Cried, clutching the tear-stained shirt of my best friend as his son took his last staggering breath in that first harsh winter. The guilt of my emotions crawl through me. My heart twisting in regret, guilt, desperation, and grief. I loved my best friend. She was so much more than that; she was my family. In this dystopian quick read, join a group of people desperate to recapture their freedom and end a tyrant's reign.Complete
Purely Arrogant | ✓
He's popular. I have one friend. He's outgoing. I'm quiet. He has a girlfriend. I'm alone. I'm shy and he's purely arrogant. But they say like forces repel and opposites attract. And we're complete opposites. ════════ "Hello, my name is Juliette Hunter and I think you're an asshole" I said to him, turning my body away so I could, once again, try and grab the book I so desperately needed. "Your turn" I added, after a moment of silence, realising that he was too stunned to speak. His recovery was lightning fast however, as he replied with "Hi Juliette, my name is Levi Knight" He paused, allowing his eyes to roam my body, slowly taking me in from head to toe. I looked him in the eyes, defiant in not allowing him to get to me, as my cheeks began to burn. "And I think you could qualify as one of the most beautiful girls I have ever laid eyes on" he continued smoothly. I couldn't think of a smart remark in response to what he had said so I mumbled a "fuck off" before returning to the bookshelf, I was sure my face turned crimson. "Just out of curiosity," Levi continued, now leaning against the bookshelf. I wasn't going to warn him about the fact that it was slowly tipping over. "You're single right?" I wasn't going to tell him that his assumption offended me either. Instead I replied with "Just out of curiosity" I said in a mocking tone "You're single now too, aren't you?" "You're a feisty one, aren't you?" "You're not gonna leave me alone, are you?" I muttered, attempting once more, to grab the book I so badly needed for English. "You're really hot, you know?" "You're really annoying, you know?"Complete

Falling For An Inmate
Prison Diaries: Book 1 (complete) A law-abiding student gets entangled with a broody inmate when she discovers there has been a miscarriage of justice. She goes in to help, but ends up breaking the first rule of interning at a prison; she falls for the inmate. ***** Carter Reynolds' teenage years ended the second the gavel hit the sound block. Or maybe they ended when the police found him standing over a dead body, drenched in blood. It might even have been before that. When he connected his fist with a face that left a broken jaw in its wake. Either way, it was over. He was sentenced to 25 years in prison. He accepted his fate, only promising himself to never care for anyone so intensely again. Almost four years into his sentence, Arya Crawford walks through the wrought iron prison gates. A self-proclaimed miniature philanthropist with a heart of gold, a law-abiding student with an urge to always have fun, a girl with a silent cause. She had taken up an internship at the New York State Penitentiary. And in time, Carter and Arya both realize something. She had broken the first rule instructed by the warden. She had fallen for an inmate. Which meant she couldn't stay. He had broken the promise he made to himself. He had started to care for her. Which meant he couldn't let her leave. But it's a little difficult to make that happen when you're stuck in a closet sized cell. And waiting twenty-one years is out of the question. ***** Highest Rankings: #6 in Romance, #2 in Passion, #4 in Badboy, #1 in Witty (for those who don't think an inmate/prison trope is their cup of tea, don't be put off because the story is first and foremost 'romance') Disclaimer** Reader discretion advised. - Mature content Story contains explicit language, sexual content, and physical and sexual violence.Complete
The Alpha
"Apres chaque conte de fée, il y a une fin indésitive, un destin a parcourir. Au delá des flames, des Océans déchaines, j'ai sombré dans le noir. A ce moment lá, j'ai vu cette lumière qui m'appellait au loin" I heard the masculine voice singing and I found myself enjoying every bit of the song like I knew that song. I was about to stand up and find out where this voice was coming from when I felt a presence next to me. I quickly turned around to be meet by a green eyes, making my heart melt right now. He was muscular, and from the shirt he put, you could see his 6 pack and toned abs. His face was a beauty. I could stare at him and never get bored. "What the hell?" I thought. Why was I drooling over a guy like that? I was so busy thinking about the sexy stranger that I didn't notice, he was so closer to me. I look at him and suddenly out of the blue, he put his right hand on my cheek. Like he was admiring me, making sure I was no illusion.
