"Why is it that when I look at you I just can't turn away? Why is it that when I look into your eyes I feel like I'm being pulled into our universe again? Why is it that when I kiss someone else I can't help but think of you? Why is it that when I'm finally as happy as I ever could be, an image of you pops up in my head and the happiness just fades away? Why is that even though we're over, my heart believes that our universe never ceased to exist? Tell me why?!" I yelled, letting out all the anger bottled up inside me.

"Because darling," he said whilst stepping closer towards me, "both your heart and mind" he stepped closer until we were only inches away. He brought his hands to my cheeks and wiped a lone tear away. He brought his mouth down to my right ear and whispered, "are still in love with me."

Jennifer Winston. An ordinary seventeen year old girl with a not so ordinary past. You'd think that she is as happy as she possibly could be. But hey, don't judge a book by its cover. She may smile all she wants, but, the news of her Dad being alive and yet not bothering about her, is enough to break her to pieces. And of course, there are feelings. No, these feelings aren't for her boyfriend. They're reserved only for her ex-boyfriend.

Ryan Anderson. A pretty popular boy at school with a heartbreaking past. You'd imagine him as the typical popular boy with the perfect family and the perfect girlfriend by his side. But, that's not him. That used to be him when Jennifer was by his side. But, that's the past now. Besides, she seems better off without him. Living is tough. But, living a life where the only person you ever loved isn't yours, is poison in itself. He might be dying everyday but, oh well, he's got secrets to keep.

What happens when the secrets are unraveled? Will Jennifer acknowledge her feelings for her ex-boyfriend, or, will they crash and burn? Uh oh, trouble in paradise? Hell yeah.
