Right now I'm curled up in a corner because I was running from someone trying to kill me. I don't know how long I have before they find me, but for what time I do have I know I can't keep it a secret. It's all been a secret too long, with only a few people knowing. And one-by-one every one of them has died. 
First the note. Then the next thing I knew I was running for my life. All because of one little secret let loose. But no, it was the many secrets that went with it. And I'm the only one who knows the true extent of them... For now.All Rights Reserved

I hear the clanking of metal loud and rigid from behind me, I feel the wind rush past as I sprint, they are still chasing me. I'll be honest I don't know what to do, quite frankly it's hard to think straight right now. I feel my body shutting down as the adrenaline is losing its punch, I can't run any faster. I'm always running, they are always chasing me. I don't even know why they chase me, I don't know what I did and like them they won't say. Do they even know? Am I just unlucky? Someone they picked at random to be the new subject of there torture? I wont let it happen. That's why I'll stay free, never fully contained. I think about the one I love, Charlie. I don't know where he is, I don't even know if he is safe. "Hey! Weapon down sarge, we don't want to kill her!" A guard's shout smacks me out of my train of thought. By this point I've gained some distance due to them having heavy armour. This stops me in my tracks though, I hear the guards slow down too. I stop, I realise, they want me alive. They aren't going to kill me, they don't want me dead. I have a gun, if I just point it at myself what are they going to do? I turn around and I look at all of the guards who have stopped in their tracks heaving in confusion. It's silent, even the wind is merely a whisper, all that can be heard is the panting of everyone on scene. They want me alive, they want me alive. I turn around, towards my chasers. I notice the guards straighten as I do so, instinctively I hold my gun to my neck, one bullet left, not enough for all of them but enough to kill me. They don't want me dead. I look to see all of them freeze in shock before one of the guards takes a step forward. I can't see their face, I can't see anyone's face but I feel like I need to know who this is. Before I can react they raise their gun and shoot. Pain explodes in my leg and I fall, all that running, for nothing. All I see now is black, I can't hear everything but I still feel conscious.

There was an uncanny irony to it - my whole existence betrayed me. I lived in a small town called Green Grove, a small town in Vancouver. It consisted of 473 residents, including children. There was only one high school around here so everyone knew everyone. The city was two hours away, everyone always talked about leaving here but once you're here - it's like your stuck. I know I'm stuck - because of my past - because of my family - my tragedy. And yet I still couldn't get past it, I'm suppose to live in the Greens Foster home but I couldn't. Everyone was on drugs or killing themselves other ways. Living in this town was like a slow - boring torture. I guess thats where my story begins, with this stupid old town. When it went from 473 residents, to 475. My once semi shitty life was flipped upside down within the matter of days. It wasn't hunting season - but I was someone's prey.

I had trouble sleeping that night. I was conflicted. Why would someone be hunting in woods with no game? My mind was telling me not to go back. "Someone was out to get you, why would you go back? You're smarter than that. You were in a clearing; they clearly saw that you were a person and not an animal. Stupid. You're stupid," it said. My curiosity said otherwise. I planned on going back next week. I needed to convalesce for a while after my little excursion. I got up, took some sleeping medication, and drifted off to sleep. They say curiously killed the cat, but mine damn will kill me. Hello to anyone reading! This is going to be the first Wattpad story that I might actually keep up with. I've had many others that have failed, so I eventually just gave up. This one, though, I hope to be much different. Since this story falls into a multitude of different genres, it is listed as general fiction. As said before, this is going to be a first, so get ready for the ride! Life isn't easy. Never has been, never will be. If someone tells you their life is easy then they are lying because everyone has something going on in their life that makes it harder. My life is definitely not easy. There are times when things are good but life is never easy. This is my story... **** A/N: Not actually about me, this is not a real book and definitely not about me. I'm not the best writer but I enjoy writing. If there are any mistakes then I am sorry and hopefully I will fix them but no guarantees. I'm not very good at descriptions but a lot happens in the book so up to you if you read it or not.

She....I....... I was running through the thick branches, pushing the leaves out of my way with all my might. I had to get away. The wet, brown, ground made it easier for me to slip and let her red, chilling hands slip around my innocent, scarred body, not knowing where she would take me next. I was almost out of breath, but I had to keep running if I wanted to make it out of this forest alive. My red dress was getting torn to shreds, and my hands and feet had mud all over them. My long, bushy brown hair was getting hooked on every possible branch, making me push my hair in the back of my dress, just like I used to when I was forced to cook everyday for my loathsome 'parents'. Returning back to the real world, I had to stop otherwise I would black out. I took a few seconds to catch my breath silently, and to look around to see if she was there behind me. I was looking up at the tall, old tree when I heard a twig snap behind me. Just like in the horror films. I turned and ran in the same direction, not daring to look back and see her wretched face fixed on my body. I sprinted and sprinted, but slowed down when I saw I was heading to nowhere but a ragged cliff. The unknown would me known if I continued to run and jump. I stopped two metres away from the cliff and looked down to see a valley so far down. If I jump..... I die. If I let her take me..... the unfair horribleness awaits me. I had no choice. I jumped.

I've been in foster care for a while now, always escaping but this couple comes out of the blue without even meeting me and takes me in. This man doesn't even look old enough to adopt me.
