What if we change the characters from Jack and Rose to Caroline and Damon? What if Damon's the guy who sees Caroline, just like Jack sees Rose?
This is kind of a remake of the movie Titanic except the characters have other names and Damon is still a vampire.

We FINALLY have Elena's admission to Damon that she's madly in love with him, so much so that she completely gave up the cure.
