Judging by the title you can probably guess what this story will be about. But I'll tell you anyway.

 Jack Hemmington has been living a poor life in the care of his evil step mother and cocky step-brothers. From doing the dishes early in the morning to doing the laundry late at night, Jack was your typical maid, with the occasional appearance of his father every now and then. 

Grace Goldwin is rich, but despite her wealth she is not one of those stuck-up snobby rich girls. That's what makes her different. On Grace's eigteenth birthday party she decides to have a masquerade ball. Typically Jack goes and its love at first sight between the two of them. But when the clock strikes twelve, well you know what happens. 

Leaving in a haste with nothing but a soft kiss to the lips, Jack flees the night. All Grace remembers are his alluring grayish blue eyes. Looks like this time the princess has to go on the wild goose chase to find her prince.
