How cliche this must all sound. Mae having to deal with her little brother since her house had been burned down, with her parents in it. So she has to support the "family" she still had. Her brother was distant and having an abusive boss didn't help. So she quits her job and moves, and snags a new job as a secretary for the richest lawyer in the area. Not that he is much better than her old boss... or is he?
