Sergeant Andrew B. Larson of the United States Army, has just gotten his orders to report to Hurtgen Forest to help keep the Nazi regime at bay. However, when his transport plane is shot down, he, and newly drafted Private Matthew Jones, are wounded and in the middle on enemy territory. Now, they have to journey through the forest if they are ever to get back home.

Corporal Anthony Stillwater and Specialists Nancy Nagle and John Bomber barely survived a brutal surprise attack by a masked killer in their own barracks.
