Expectations. Its a feeling. A feeling that something is about to happen. Good or bad, it depends on what you expect. These very expectations can make a nobody, somebody.

And they can also ruin someone.

Lacey Hartley was ruined. Scarred by the expectations of people she cared about. People she didn't want to disappoint.

No matter what she had to do.

So she made some decisions. Took some actions. Stopped her own heart in order to feel nothing. And now she regrets them. She did something terrible and realized her mistakes a penny too late.

These very expectations made Elliot Kingston who he is. People expect things from him. Things he lives up to but is not and doesn't want to be.

He is who he is, not by choice but by necessity.

And the product of all this? Of living by other people's expectations? Pent up frustration. And he needed an outlet. So he started a game. In which he could use an actual person as his stress toy.

Lacey was distraught, lost, confused, depressed and not herself. She never was.

And in the end, no one understood why she did it. What was left was disappointment and regret.

Now she left all of it behind in London and came to America to start a new life.

What will happen when the lives of two people, living by the eyes of the world, collide?

What happens when Lacey becomes the new stress toy of Elliot Kingston and instead of relieving his frustration, ends up increasing it even more?

What happens when both decide to screw the world and its expectations and decided to live like they want to live?

How will they're true selves emerge?

And how will the world react?

"We fake date each other for two or three weeks then we have a public breakup." I think he's hit his head one too many times playing football. "Really that's all you could come up with?" He just rolls his eyes. "It's perfect! Stacy will move on because she can't have me." Katie Fleming is your average shy girl and sarcasm is her main language. She has one best friend, well two if you count her best friend's boyfriend. Katie thought her senior year was going to be easy, stay single, aggravate her best friends boyfriend, and try her best to get straight A's in all her classes. Well, that was till her school's star quarterback almost hits her with his car. Wyatt M. Kent is Clearwaters' star quarterback and the most popular boy in school. Ever since he almost hit Katie with his car, he can't stop noticing her. So, to stop the head cheerleader (who absolutely despises Katie,) from constantly flirting with him he proposes the idea of them fake dating. But little did he know getting her to agree might come with a high price. What happens when you can't tell if you're fooling each other, or if the feelings are real? #1 Teen Fiction | #1 Young Adult | #1 Romance "We all need someone to drive us mad." - The Wombats. He stared arrogantly down at me, a smirk plastered across his face. I sneered up at him with distaste, wanting to wrap my fingers around his neck and strangle that smirk off of him. He brushed my golden hair from my face, his long, slender fingers sparking electricity in my skin, making my knees wobble together. "Will you ever, forgive me?" he whispered huskily, his eyes intently staring into mine. His face was only mere inches from me. I just needed to reach out a little further to kiss him... "Yeah. Over my dead body." I snapped, before throwing my arms out forcefully, shoving my hands into his chest, pushing him from me. -*-*-*- He, is Carter Williams. I, am Lacey Adams. We were once, inseparable. The 'Golden Couple'. The unbreakable best friends, that everybody envied. Nothing could get between us. A part from being tighter than white on rice, we updated our status from friends to being in a relationship, frequently. We were neighbours, which meant our families were all close and even co-owned houses around our town. This, all is, until the day of my sixteenth birthday. Everything changed. The loving relationship we shared, was severed and torn apart. I couldn't hardly stand to look at him any more, without spitting fire that is. Every day is torture being around him. He was in all my classes at school and the window in my room was even directly aligned with his. So, what happens? My mother's mum gets sick, so dad and her fly out. Just them. Leaving me to stay with Carter and his parents, who are never home. We would be alone. In one house. Under the same roof. If I was insane before, I have no idea what I am now. © 2016 by LaurenJ22. Sam: 'Let's have a private chat and no one will come to know.' Aims: 'What do you mean?! :P' Sam: 'I mean you get me high and make me explode and no one has to know.' Aims: 'Okay.....let's start. Are you nude?' My life has been through........ Not really it has not been through anything dramatic except one accident that threw me out of my ex-school and sends me away to another town. So right now what am I doing? I am chatting with one of the present student of my ex-school, Sam. He is the guy I never got to know when I was in school; and now apparently I know a lot about him. He has a thing for sex but he actually is a virgin! You can say a desperate one. People say that there is one turn in everyone's life which changes everything. True! But not in my case; this is my story. With a lot of twist, turns, fights, kisses, slaps, dance, jealousy, drama, cat fights, parties and everything a teenage life has. But the only thing is, there were a lot of these emotions running around freely in the hallway, apparently I was the one to put them into correct lockers. Friends change everything in you. You can share anything with them, everything with them. My best friend changed me, made me see who I was (a total bitch) until now I was going back to her, to change her, to put her into her correct place; with me. Let's just say, it all started when my aunt came to me for a favor.......... © All Rights Reserved.
